Missouri Council of the Blind Scholarship

Missouri Council of the Blind (MCB)

This scholarship is for residents of Missouri who are legally blind in both eyes (visual acuity of 20/200 or less in the better corrected eye or a visual field of 20 degrees or less in the better corrected eye). To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must be enrolled in or under consideration for admission to postsecondary training programs, technical school, and certified training institutions. Members of the Missouri Council of the Blind shall receive the full benefits of the scholarship program. Non-members shall receive 50% of the scholarship program. (An exception to this would be if an applicant is under the age of 18 since this is the minimum age for a person to be a member of MCB.) Factors to be considered when awarding the scholarship include merit (applicants should maintain a minimum 2.0 GPA) and whether the applicant has specific and realistic goals in mind. Applications must be typed or computer-generated.
