New Voices Young Writers Competition

EPIC - Electronic Publishing Industry Coalition

This writing competition is for students worldwide, attending public, private, or home schools, between the ages of 11 and 18. There are three categories: short story (fiction), poetry, and essay (non-fiction). Entries may be written specifically for the competition or may be works submitted from school assignments. Applicants may enter no more than one entry into each category. The competition is divided into two divisions. The junior division is for applications 11 to 14 years of age, while the senior division is for applications 15 to 18 years of age. Prizes range from eBook readers or PDAs, gift certificates, or monetary awards.
