The Next Step

This scholarship is for individuals recovering from substance abuse. Applicants must be active in a 12-step recovery program (Alcoholics Anonymous or Narcotics Anonymous). Applicants must attend meetings, have a home group, a sponsor, do service work, and have a minimum of one year/12 consecutive months of recovery by the April 1 application deadline.

Applicants must be gainfully employed and have made financial restitution for any past debts or be in the process of doing so. Applicants must aslo be enrolled or planning on enrolling in an Associate program, Bachelor’s degree program, graduate degree program, vocational or technical school program.

All scholarship recipients must live in the greater St. Louis area (within 50 miles of downtown St. Louis), but they may attend schools outside of the area.
