Submit the short video, which could be used to produce a 30 or 60 second public service announcement. Look for things in your local area, city and neighborhood that make you feel positive and optimistic about the condition of the environment. Describe or show things that have been carefully preserved, or improved and describe how. Shoot the short video on your phone, notebook tablet, computer or video camera! Entries can express the theme in any genre or shooting style, but the video file must be submitted as either a CD, DVD or on a memory stick (no submissions via email). Entries will be judged on overall impact, effectiveness of conveying theme, and creativity. Entrants must be planning on attending college classes, full or part time, between Sept. 1, 2015 and Mar. 1st, 2016 Entries must interpret some variation of the theme, “Feeling positive and optimistic about the condition of the environment”. Each entry must be accompanied by a completed entry form. All forms must be signed. The form may be photocopied. Entries must be 5 minutes or less in length. Entrants who do not obtain and cannot provide written documentation of all necessary rights and permissions for music, images, video clips and any and all other non-original aspects of their entry will be disqualified. Entries must be submitted as a CD, DVD or memory stick. Video files can be in either PC or MAC format(s). Each CD, DVD or memory stick must be labeled with the entrant’s name, email address, home address and telephone number, as well as the title and length of the entry. All entries become the property of USEPEC. Winning entrants who are U.S. citizens or residents will be required to provide their Social Security Number before cash prizes can be awarded.
