Construction Management

What would it be like to walk through your city streets knowing you contributed to building them? If you're a construction management major, you'll be able to find out. This field combines two separate areas of study: trade skills and management. Majoring in construction management will prepare you for a career in different types of building. You will learn to coordinate, manage, and supervise construction projects. You'll receive instruction in environmental, mechanical, residential, commercial, heavy civil, industrial, and electrical construction. Courses will also cover labor relations, materials management, site safety, and how to navigate local codes, ordinances and regulations. After graduating, you'll have multiple career opportunities to pursue. You may be able to find a job as a cost estimator, construction site manager, civil engineer, or building inspector.
