Since I only experienced my freshmen year here I did not not experience their upper level classes so I can't say much there. But due to their unique system based on communication and group work I did learn a lot about giving speeches and presenting proper papers.

Being a student at Alverno College has been a huge honor, it has expanded my knowledge in different types of topics. Although it is an all girls school i feel that it brings us females closer to one another. This college truly feels like home, we try to get everyone involved in everything as much as possible and the professors are very understanding and have a very great relationship with their students.

It's a all girl school, so be prepared. It seems easy to move along but you have to put the time and effort into things. It's overall a good environment.

I would advise you to not go there. Transfer as fast as you can. Not a high post employment rate.

Alverno College creates a student-focused classroom setting that encourages communication and teamwork. The non-grading system and small class sizes allow students exclusive access that is seen rarely at other institutions. Alverno College creates an atmosphere that engages and provides students with real world issues so that they are prepared upon graduation.

Alverno is an amazing school that offers small size class and individual one on one learning with teachers. The interaction among all Alverno students and staff is incredible, and very open. It's a close knit school that strives in the success of it's students.

So far the nursing program is disappointing. My teachers are terrible, they keep telling us we're a test group for everything we do and they are never prepared. Right now, one of my classes is being taught by an unsupervised student teacher in her Masters program. She doesn't know anything and constantly teaches us the wrong way to do our skills.
