Students using Appily can learn about colleges and scholarships, take virtual tours, get resources for their college exploration process, and even get matched with colleges that are interested in admitting them. 

Q: Why was Appily created?

A: College planning is stressful enough – students shouldn’t have to juggle multiple sources of college information and planning resources. We knew that we could simplify the journey for students and give them the resources they need to navigate the journey with confidence. That’s why we created Appily.

Q: Is Appily safe?

A: Yes! Appily is owned by EAB, a long-standing and well-respected partner to thousands of colleges and universities across the country. We are committed to providing the latest and most extensive college search information while protecting your privacy and data. We use a rigorous screening process to review scholarships before adding them to our scholarship database. 

Q: Is Appily free?

A: Yes! Appily is always free. 

Q: How can I close my Appily account?

A: If you'd like to delete your Appily account, please complete this form.

Q: Can I opt out of email communication?

A: Yes! You may opt-out of receiving email communication from Appily via the unsubscribe link contained in the email message.

Q: Do I pay for Appily?

A: Nope. You never, ever have to pay for Appily or any of the tools associated with Appily.  

Q: Is Appily a scam?

A: Appily is not a scam. Appily is a free, quick, and easy-to-use resource that simplifies the college discovery, application, and decision process.  

Q: Is Appily only for high school students?

A: No, Appily can help students of all ages and stages find and pay for college. On the Appily website you’ll see our Transfer Student portal that’s designed to help guide college students through the transfer process. Appily can assists adult students returning to college and college graduates in finding masters and doctorate programs. 

Appily Data Use & Privacy Questions 

Q: How does Appily keep my data safe?

A: Appily respects your privacy and is committed to protecting it. Simply put- your information is safe with us. Appily has security measures in place to keep the information you provide to us safe from unauthorized access. To learn more, click here.  

Q: Where does Appily’s data come from?

Q: What is my data used for?

We use the information we collect to provide you with products and services and customize your experience using the Appily Site. We also use the information we collect and receive to improve the Appily Site.  

For example, we use data to better tailor content to user needs and preferences, such as by giving you more relevant scholarships or advertisements, by generating and analyzing statistics about your use of the Appily Site; and by developing new products and services.

Our services require us to collect detailed personal information from you and, in many cases, to share your personal information with colleges, universities, counselors, scholarship administrators, EAB, employers, marketing partners, and advertisers. Appily Scholarship Questions 

Q: What scholarships does Appily offer?

A: Appily offers an up-to-date database of scholarships you can filter by specific interests and personal attributes to find the financial aid you’re eligible for. Appily also offers a monthly $1,000 Easy Money Scholarship that requires no GPA or test scores for eligibility. Just create a free Appily account to apply. 

Q: Are Appily scholarships legit?

A: Absolutely! Appily uses a rigorous screening process to review scholarships before adding them to our scholarship database. Appily also offers an Easy Money Scholarship each month that requires no GPA or essay. You simply need to create a free Appily account to apply.  

Q: Who’s eligible for Appily scholarships?

A: The monthly Appily Easy Money Scholarship is open to any U.S. resident student, age 13 years or older, who creates a free Appily account. Appily Match & Calculation Questions 

Q: Is Appily accurate?

 A: Yes. Appily uses your own data points and preferences to help match you with schools and scholarships that meet your preferred criteria. For instance, if you share your GPA and test scores, Appily can tell you your chances of getting accepted into the colleges on your list.  

Q: Is Appily reliable?

A: Yes. Appily is one of the very best college research websites because we provide verified and up to date information on colleges and universities, scholarships, and majors. Appily partners with schools themselves to ensure we have the most accurate to give students, parents, and counselors the inside track to the admissions process. 

Q: How are my chances calculated?

A: Appily uses an algorithm based on the average data points of students admitted to each school. To estimate your acceptance probability, we consider demographic variables relevant to the college selection and admissions process, like GPA and test scores.  

Q: How is my estimated family contribution and net price calculated?

A: Appily uses an algorithm that references the average of what students in your income bracket typically receive in financial aid to estimate your family contribution. You can access this data within our college profile pages on the Your Cost After Aid tab.  

Q: How are my matches calculated?

A: Appily suggests personalized college matches based on your test scores, GPA, and location. As you fill out your profile, add your preferences, and begin to build a college list, Appily will be able to recommend better matches. 

Q: How can I improve my recommendations?

A: Since Appily uses an algorithm to calculate your matches and chances, the more accurate and comprehensive information you can provide, the better our recommendations will be. We suggest completely filling out your profile and sharing your test scores, GPA, and other relevant data points to give the algorithm a complete picture of your current position.
