Anything on 12 south is great, and most things near Vanderbilt are wonderful, but be warned that Vandy parties are notorious for rapes. Lonnie's is a great 18 and up western bar with karaoke, and Play is an 18 and up gay bar with karaoke dancers that everyone has fun at and loves going to. Both can get boring if you go too often, but on another note I find the Soda Parlor a few miles away a great place to go outside of 12 south, and their are some shops there too. The adventure science center is great also, and the haunted houses at Halloween are wonderful. Everything is Nash is great really.

Belmont is situated just south of downtown Nashville which offers so many fun opportunities to the college students of the area. There is almost always some sort of live music show going on somewhere in the city, whether it be an internationally touring act at Bridgestone Arena or a few college kids jamming at Belmont's own Curb Cafe. Not too far from campus are a series of parks and nature preserves where students can hike and explore. Belmont's basketball teams play right on campus at the Curb Event Center and students get into the home games for free. If students are interested in football, they can go just a mile or two down the road and watch the Vanderbilt University Commodores play their home games.

Belmont's SAPB (student-run activities group) is great about hosting several events throughout the year to get students out and interacting. Greek life holds events that get all the students involved and when all that fails, you're in Nashville. There is no shortage of concerts, whether by fellow Belmont students or nationally famous acts. Belmont runs right along 12th avenue where there are great shops and restaurants. The city is full of coffee shops where students hang out and downtown is just a short drive away.

Go to the center for Fitness & Recreation in the Beaman Student Life Center! Participate in intramural sports! Climb the rock wall! You can go watch our amazing Men's Basketball team and go to music showcases in the Curb Event Center! You can go downtown and sing karaoke! Nashville's also very famous for its hipster coffee shops and there are so many right near campus (within walking distance).

Basketball games are a lot of fun, seeing as we are always one of the best teams in our conference. Most people go home over the weekends but if your friends stay you have someone to hang out with. There's several beautiful parks in Nashville as well as the Belcourt Theatre and the downtown area.

there's free music everywhere! there are live shows in the curb cafe most nights, and occasional shows on the lawn. basketball games are so much fun, and we get free queso at moe's if the teams make enough 3-pointers during the games (which they always do!).

Basketball games are a blast even if you're not a fan you will be trust me. Shows and concerts are always happening and Live On The Green is a FREE festival that starts every fall and last 2 weeks but is only on the weekends and that is killer. It's Nashville there is always something to do. Don't be a house cat or a stick in the mud and you'll dig it here!

Campus activities keep me busy. Watching the Belmont Bruin's teams is always a great evening. Plus, there is the entire city of Nashville to find something to do.
