On campus stores are expensive, there are handful of cheaper options off-campus. Of course, tuition is ridiculously inexpensive compared to other 4-year colleges. I'll say it again, look elsewhere for books, the Cuyamaca bookstore has all the books that you need, but at rather crazy prices. I've found books for upwards of $60 less (ended up being roughly $30, for that book) on Amazon. There has been a recent rise in online sources for free textbooks, search around for the best buy, and rent if you can. It's almost a guarantee that you'll never need the book again (unless it can be used in multiple classes, like the 3-year code for Calc I, II, & III). A parking permit isn't absolutely necessary, but it will reduce the hassle of finding an off campus parking spot. If you don't buy one, make sure to get to school half an hour early, at least. Most classes are at the far back side of the school.
