I can honestly say I have never been at a school where the teachers care so much about their students. My professors have always made themselves available for out of classroom assistance and are willing to go over tricky topics if you find yourself struggling. I love that the educators are flexible and willing to talk about ideas that are current to society and yet are still able to tie them together with the material of the class. Harper allows you to learn and grow simultaneously.

The campus is a little hard to navigate at first, but once you get a hang of it, it is very easy to find everything. The resources they have are great and everything is fairly new. The parking lots are big so you can always find a spot somewhere.

Harper is great for students who are unsure of what they want to major in, so they can get there general education requirements out of the way on a good budget. Harper's also great for people of any age to further their education. The variety of classes are endless and most transfer to universities.

You obviously save a ton of money and still receive a quality education. I do my research when signing up for classes and have taken a bunch of interesting classes with great teachers. The atmosphere is not as fun however because no one really wants to make friends or be as friendly.

Harper College has met and exceeded my expectations of what a community college should be like. I was initially reluctant to join Harper because of the perceived social stigma I felt was associated with it; however, once you actually join the college, there is no chance for you to feel that way at all! Everyone here does their own thing and is on their own career path; you can be very independent and get your things done. Harper has great resources too: it's library staff tries to assist you in everyone way possible and teachers have office hours in which they make themselves available to students for any help.

Harper College is an excellent place to first start out from high school. They are cost efficient, the staff and counselors have your best interest in mind, and most classes taken are able to transfer to most universities to continue your education. I would highly recommend to start at Harper College instead of starting at a university.
