Go into college with an open mind. Kutztown has a lot to offer students. You may find yourself in a club or organization that never had interested you before. You may find yourself becoming friends with groups of people that you had never met before. Starting university gives you new beginnings and a clean slate. To make the absolute best of your experience, you should be open to new things.

Don't get me wrong, Kutztown is not a bad school..but there is a lot of money spent on unnecessary items. I've had issues with the Registrar and Financial Aid offices; if you are even ONE day late on a payment you receive e-mails and voicemails like crazy. But if you try to call them or stop in for information no one seems like they have answers or actually care to help you.

Important thing for new students to do is read the chapter BEFORE having the class, which lets you know what is being talked about and lets you know what you need to ask if you do not understand something. I would also say to get a group of other students emails or Facebook to let you get notes from them if you miss a day and to let you get together to study the notes for exams. Last tip I have is to start studying all the notes that you take the day you take them everyday until the exam to keep the information in your head.
