Come visit campus on one of the many MSU Fridays or other tour opportunities, and see what it has to offer! Apply early and get it out of the way. Attend the earliest Orientation session available! You'll be glad you did! Once on campus, get involved! There are innumerable ways you can get out of your dorm and connect with your fellow students, and it'll help you adapt to life at MSU and in Bozeman.

Freshman year is not a time to mess around. Find classes and subjects that interest you and get into a major you are excited about. Join a club. THere are all kinds of clubs for different activities and interests. You will find people to hang out with that like to do the same things you do. This doesn't leave friend making to the luck of who you end up by in the dorms. Have fun and live life. Study hard but don't spend every waking moment on your studies. You are young and you live in one of the best ski towns in the US. GO SKI.

Know how to study well, effectivly and efficiently. Get to know your professor and ask them for help earlier rather than later. Get to know other people and form study groups especially in those harder classes. Bouncing ideas off of each other is a great way to learn from each and better learn the material.
