    I have been homeless twenty-two times before the age of 18. Throughout my childhood and teen years, I was forced to change schools fourteen times, it wasn't until I came to JSC that I finally felt safe, wanted and comfortably at home. I was welcomed and found a support net within months of attending JSC. JSC has changed my life. JSC has shown me what it means to be a part of something, to be a part of a community. Coming from poverty and not always having a home to go to on vacations, JSC allowed me and welcomed me to stay on campus while everyone else went home. JSC has offered me many opportunities to live a good life and to be in control in where I am heading for my future.

    Here at JSC the quality of higher education is worth the amount of money one has to pay. The overall experience of living here or near here is wonderful because of all that the campus provides. There are over 100 clubs one can be apart of just for taking classes here, the food isn't bad, and the one on one time with professors is extremely helpful. As a commuter I pay half the price of an on campus student but I still am a big part of the community here and the satisfaction one gets from being involved and making a difference is definitely worth the buck.
