Many organizations are on campus like University Program Board. University Program Board has brought in speakers such as Marcus Luttrell, Alex Rodriguez, Gabby Douglas, and Josh Peck. University Program Board brings in music artists as well. Past music artists that have come to SRU include Lil' Wayne, Mac Miller, Lee Brice, Juicy J & Wale. SRU students have the opportunity to go to PNC Park through UPB and to the water park known as Kalahari. Students can also enjoy the Spring Fling through UPB and UPB works closely with other organizations during homecoming. SRU students are free to use the Aebersold Recreation Center to play pick-up basketball and do plenty of exercise. Students can also participate in fitness classes such as Pilates, yoga, cycling, Zumba, and hip hop and abs. Intramurals are big at the ARC (Aebersold Recreation Center) as well with chances to participate in volleyball, basketball, wheelchair basketball, softball, flag football, and hockey. There are two swimming pools available at Slippery Rock off-campus housing. One is at University Village and the other is at The Grove. Both of those apartment complexes hold events every so often. Many employment opportunities exist within both. Both rely heavily on using Instagram to get the word out about events they're holding.

The Grove City Outlets are 15 minutes down the road, as well as Morraine State Park. However, if you don't have a car, there isn't much to do. Most students just walk to Main Street and get lunch or dinner at a local restaurant on the weekends.

College at Slippery Rock in its entirety is fun! With our hello tradition, you never have trouble making new friends to go see free movies with in the student center. One can go the gym with, walk to town with, get some food, and so much more here; no matter what you choose to do it will be fun. Clubs and organizations are also a great way to get involved and have some fun up at Slippery Rock.

I don't even know where to start! There are so many things to do here. The ARC is awesome for basketball, swimming, rock wall climbing and so much more. That is just one of the many options you have. There are tons of clubs with something to offer for just about anyone. The run club is fun and it's a great way to make new friends and get to know some of the professors.

For fun you can participate in the LLC events, groups, clubs and activities. There are many local parks and trails not far from campus. The mall is only 30 minutes away. there's a bowling alley and a couple bars within walking distance. There is always something to get into.
