Starting your scholarship search can feel overwhelming. So many options, and what feels like not enough time to explore them all. We’ve compiled a list of opportunities that are available nationwide for you to kick off your applications.
Horatio Alger Association Scholarship
Deadline: October 26, 2020
Amount: $25,000
Undocumented/DACA Students Eligible: No
Key Requirements: GPA of 2.0 or above. Demonstrated financial need and family income up to $55,000. For students who have displayed integrity and perseverance in overcoming adversity.
Elks National Foundation Most Valuable Student
Deadline: November 15, 2020
Amount: $1,000 – $12,500 per year for four years (500+ winners)
Undocumented/DACA Students Eligible: No
Key Requirements: Judged on scholarship, leadership, and financial need
Jack Kent Cooke Scholarship Foundation College Scholarship Program
Deadline: October 30, 2020 (apply through Common App)
Amount: Up to $40,000 (about 100 winners)
Undocumented/DACA Students Eligible: Yes
Key Requirements: Unweighted GPA of 3.5 or above. SAT score of 1200 or above, or ACT score of 26 or above. Demonstrated financial need and family income up to $95,000.
Deadline: October 25, 2020
Amount: Funding for tuition, room/board for up to 4 years
Undocumented/DACA Students Eligible: Yes (DACA)
Key Requirements: DACA students with high GPAs, taking challenging high school classes, and who are leaders in their community. Strong preference will be given to applicants who are from NC, SC, GA and TN.
Greenhouse Scholars Program Scholarship
Deadline: November 1, 2020
Amount: Renewable award up to $5,000 + significant programming and support
Undocumented/DACA Students Eligible: No
Key Requirements: Resident of CO, GA, IL, NC; leadership, ability to persevere, and commitment to community. Financial need, GPA 3.5 and up
Deadline: January 9, 2021
Amount: $10,000 per year
Undocumented/DACA Students Eligible: No
Key Requirements: High achieving African American students with demonstrated financial need who display interest in public service, community engagement, business entrepreneurship, and global citizenship
American Indian College Fund Full Circle Scholarship
Deadline: May 31, 2021
Amount: Varies
Undocumented/DACA Students Eligible: No
Key Requirements: GPA of 2.0 or above. Enrolled member of federal or state recognized tribe, or descendant of at least one grandparent who is an enrolled tribal member
Deadline: January 21, 2021
Amount: From one-time $2,500 awards to multi-year $20,000 awards
Undocumented/DACA Students Eligible: No
Key Requirements: GPA of 2.7 or above, Asian or Pacific Islander heritage, demonstrated financial need, first generation college student

Key Requirements: SAT score of 1000 or above, or ACT score of 21 or above. Demonstrated financial need. For minority students who show leadership potential, demonstrate a dedication to community service.
Hispanic Scholarship Fund Scholarships
Application Opens: January 1, 2021
Deadline: February 15, 2021
Amount: $500 – $5,000
Undocumented/DACA Students Eligible: Yes (DACA)
Key Requirements: Hispanic heritage, GPA of 3.0 or above
