Scholarships Expiring in February
It might still be early in the year, but it’s never too early to start applying for scholarships. No matter the award amount, every little bit helps. Take a look at this list below and apply to as many as you are eligible for.
Get a Boost Scholarship – Applicants must submit an essay about creative ways to convince smokers to break the habit. Applications are due Feb. 1. The scholarship award amount is $2,000.
Honest Beauty Award – Applicants must create a video that proposes solutions about issues that impact women’s self-image. Applications are due Feb. 1, and the scholarship award amount is $2,500.
Shell Oil Company Technical Scholarship – This scholarship is for undergraduate students attending a participating institution and studying geology, geophysics or physics; chemical, civil, electrical, mechanical, petroleum, geological or geophysical engineering. Applications are due Feb. 1. The award amount for this scholarship is $5,000.
Elks National Foundation Legacy Awards – These scholarships are for college-bound descendants of living Elks. Applications are due Feb. 3. The scholarship award amounts vary between $250-$1,000.
We the Students Scholarship Contest – This scholarship is for current high school students who submit an essay on a given topic. Applications are due Feb 5. The award amount for this scholarship varies between $500-$5,000.
Love Letters Challenge Scholarship – Applicants must create a Valentine’s Day card for a senior citizen to show that they care. Applications are due Feb. 10 and this scholarship is worth $3,000.
Elie Wiesel Prize in Ethics Essay Contest – Applicants must submit an essay about an ethical issue that you have encountered and discuss what it has taught you about ethics and yourself. The award amount for this scholarship ranges between $500-$5,000. Applications are due Feb. 10.
Golden Apple Scholars of Illinois – This scholarship is for education students interested in teaching in Illinois after college graduation. Applications are due Feb. 15. The award amount for this scholarship is $250-$23,000.
Eileen Kraus Scholarship – Female students who are high school seniors or recent graduates from Connecticut may be eligible for this scholarship. Applications are due Feb. 15. Scholarship award amounts vary.
