Scholarships for STEM Majors

Science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) majors are among the top-paying college majors. If you are planning to pursue one of those majors, take a look at this list of scholarships.

 

Creative Biolabs Scholarship Program – This scholarship is for undergraduate, graduate and doctoral students pursuing a degree in science. Applications are due Aug. 15 and the award amount is $1,000.

 

PG&E Better Together STEM Scholarship – Students pursuing science, technology or engineering at a participating California school are eligible for this scholarship. Applications are due March 31 and the award amount for this scholarship is $5,000.

 

Women in Technology Scholarship – This scholarship is for women who are planning a career in information technology or a related field. Applicants must maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA. The scholarship is awarded based on academic performance, response to the essay question and level of participation in community service and/or extracurricular activities. Applications are due March 1 and the scholarship award amount is $2,500.

 

Supporting STEM Scholarship – Students with a declared major in the stem field are eligible for this scholarship. Applicants must maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA. Students need to submit 150-word answers to five questions. The scholarship award amount is $1,000, but it will be paid in two $500 installments. The application deadline is July 30.

 

Berto Diaz Engineering Scholarship – This scholarship is for college-bound high school students who plan to obtain a degree in mechanical engineering. Applications for this scholarship are due March 1 and the scholarship award amount is $1,000.

 

"Ding" Darling Wildlife Society Scholarships for Environmental Studies – Residents of Charlotte, Collier, Glades, Hendry or Lee County, Florida are eligible for this scholarship. Applicants must be pursuing a degree in the natural sciences. Students must submit an essay describing their scientific goals. Applications are due March 31 and the scholarship award amount is $1,000.

 

HSF General College Scholarships for College and Graduate Students – This scholarship is for Hispanic students pursuing a degree in a STEM field. Applications are due March 30 and the scholarship award amount ranges between $500-$5,000.

 

StudySoup Women in Technology Scholarship – This scholarship is for female students enrolled in computer science and/or computer programming. Applicants must intend to pursue a career in the field after graduation. Applications are due May 5 and the scholarship award amount is $1,000.

 

Vision Tech Camps Scholarship – This scholarship is for undergraduate students seeking a degree in a technology-related field. Applications are due Aug. 1. The scholarship award amount ranges between $500-$1,000.

 

Aerospace States Association Scholarship – Students pursuing an aerospace-related education are eligible for this scholarship. Eligible majors include physical sciences, engineering, aviation or aerospace related fields. Applications are due April 30 and the scholarship award amount is $2,000.
