This scholarship is for non-traditional students who are attending a institution of higher learning that is an eleemosynary, two- or four-year or technical junior or senior college accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools or a comparable regional accrediting organization, or a vocational school. Priority will be given to applicants who are residents of Richland County School District 1 in South Carolina, and to those who have some degree of life and work experience rather than persons recently out of high school. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must hold a GED equivalent or high school diploma, demonstrate the ability to successfully perform in their chosen academic program, and demonstrate financial need.
