This scholarship is for US citizens who identify as African American, Hispanic/Latino, Native American, or Pacific Islander. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must be enrolled full-time in a Virginia Space Grant member institution (Old Dominion University, Hampton University, The College of William and Mary, University of Virginia or Virginia Tech). Applicants must have completed at least one year of a STEM undergraduate program, have an academic level of sophomore in fall 2015, have a minimum of 24 credit hours completed by summer 2015, and have a minimum 3.0 GPA. Applicants must be in a program of study that demonstrates an interest in aerospace or supporting NASA's mission.
