George & Catherine Shortle Scholarship

Tipton County Foundation

Created by Catherine Shortle as a memorial to George’s public service and commitment to education in Tipton. George was active in several businesses and served on many civic boards. He was a member of the Tipton School Board, including a term as President. After his passing, Catherine carried on his many business and civic activities. Scholarship applicants must provide two letters of recommendation and an essay on why they should be presented this scholarship which awards service to one's community.
