The Cowles United Methodist Church Memorial Scholarship is awarded annually to a ministerial student who is a member of a Nebraska United Methodist church, plans to become a pastor in the Great Plains United Methodist Conference of the United Methodist Church, attends a seminary accredited by the Great Plains United Methodist Conference and upon his/her anticipated graduation date from seminary, will have a minimum of 30 years of eligibility to serve as a United Methodist minister in the Great Plains United Methodist Conference.
