Mississippi College is the oldest in the state, founded in 1826, while Rust College is the most selective. Mississippi’s catfish aquaculture provides farm-raised catfish for the entirety of the US, producing the majority consumed. Its top attractions are the birthplace of Elvis Presley, the Vicksburg National Military Park, and the Tupelo Automobile Museum.
