I am a musician looking for a band and lover of all things cars, mechanical and technological. I am an engineering student with a heart of gold looking to hopefully hit the big time here in Austin. But if I don't make it in the music industry I will hopefully have my engineering degree to fall back on.

Luckily there is plenty to do on and off campus, there are always events. There plays put on by students, and random meetings on popular tv shows and group meetings in your academic choice.

ACC offers many classes that are particularly fun along with the big advantage that you get a credit for it but also offer intramural sports at the local sports facilities that are popular in Austin.

ACC offers tons of great activities that show they are involved with the most current community happenings. They have blood drives, they push voting registration, they have people come in to help students with filing their taxes, they put on events that help get students going during exam week. For instance, last semester they gave out free frapps from Starbucks and held a breakfast for students in the main corridor. Never in my experience have I had a faculty so involved in the success of the students, and it is the most refreshing way to attend a school.

Walk up and down the stairs? Nothing really. We supposedly have a Student Life group, but they aren't really heard from unless you go hunting for them from what I've experienced.

As far as fun goes, it depends on the campus you are attending. I attended Pinnacle, Riverside, and Rio Grande. Out of all three Rio Grande was the most fun because there are many places that you can walk to that are nearby. For example, if you had a couple of hours of downtime, you could go get an Amy's ice cream, go walk around at Whole Foods, read a book at Book People, go shopping at Anthropologie, etc. That campus is also located in downtown Austin, so that area is loaded with things to do on your free time. As for the other two campuses, they were located in less happening areas, so it was more limited in what you could do. I usually had lots of fun on campus with my study groups, as we would make our study sessions fun. The people at this campus are pretty nice so it is easy to meet new friends and find people who share the same major or classes with you. Overall, whether I was visiting somewhere near campus or staying on campus, the fun stemmed from being surrounded by friends and meeting new people. At ACC, the fun is all what you make of it since it is only a junior college and lacks some of the perks that a regular university has.
