    When coming to Hunter College, one has to be open minded because Hunter is a diverse college with students, faculty and stuff from all over the world. W are a diverse college and respect everyone with all different backgrounds. So, open mindedness is a must :-)

    The counseling program is difficult to get admitted to. It's a great program with a majority of the staff being knowledgeable and cool. The nursing program is extremely hard to get into and very rigorous, but you will most likely land a good job once you graduate from here.

    Try to register as soon as you receive a registration date, as classes fill up quickly here. Always sign up for campus alerts to be sent to your email/phone because with the school being in an urban setting, weather/events can effect school scheduling, especially during the winter months (keep in mind the use of trains makes a big difference also!).

    Don't fall into the scene of socializing or trying to meet as many people as possible. Meeting people is nice and it is always right to have a small circle of friends. But it is easy to lose focus in college and leave the semester with a horrible GPA. The first year counts, it is where it is the most difficult time to regain all of your GPA to be what you want it to be. Stay focus and your time in Hunter would be splendid.
