    FIU tuition is low. If you love in south florida, driving to campus is very easy and most of the attending students do it. The dorms are very expensive and you can save money by commuting to school and carpooling.

    Tuition is cheap and I think it's a fair price for the academic rigor, which is decent enough. Panther Hall is a bit overpriced for what's offered in it, so the other dorms are a much better choice in my opinion.

    Living expenses are the downside to attending a university in a city with a high cost of living, but tuition is relatively cheap compared to private institutions. FIU is the fastest growing university in the state with over 50,000 students and ever-growing expansion and improving campus projects.
