The University of South Florida is a public research university located on Florida’s Gulf Coast, offering more than 180 majors and concentrations. Ranked on multiple lists for its research efforts, USF’s Office of Undergraduate Research at the Tampa campus allows all citizen scholars to participate in faculty-led research. Though facilities such as the Morsani Downtown location and three nearby hospitals, USF health care students at the Tampa campus reinforce the institution’s medical presence in the community, taking advantage of a number of research and training opportunities. USF’s Tampa campus has its very own beach, a variety of public art, and an entire Greek Village of national fraternities and sororities, as well as living-learning communities. Students can join in on the more than 600 clubs and organizations or utilize the recreation facilities and club sports, which range from jiu-jitsu to wakeboarding. Nearby Tampa Bay is known for its popular beaches and food scene.
