Student Responses to Review Topic: Food And Dining

There aren't many options. We have the cafe, Chick Fil A, Einsteins, and what we call Waves. We recently opened up a River House which has meals as well as beer and wine (to those 21 or up). Many complain that the food there is expensive though, so not many people go. We recently switched vendors so the food situation is being worked on but people still complain. I personally do not think the food is that bad but I do wish there were other options on where to eat.

Not the best, but not the worst. Cafe food has gotten people food poisoning or indigestion.

Recently, JU replaces Nellie's (its previous grill dining service) with a Chick-Fil-A Express. A lot of students regret this decision because of the lack of items on the menu and their realization that an individual can become tired of chicken rather quickly. However, the renovation to the Riverview Cafe was a success for the most part with the need Pasta Bar, although some of the food is still just edible. The meal plan changes have been pretty successful for the most part, but with the increase in Flex Bucks, JU needs more dining variety.

The food here is great. The café serves restaurant quality food and it's all you can eat. There is also a Chic-Fil-A and a Einstein's Bros Bagels.

Food and dining areas are under serious renovations and many new things are to come as far as the dining experience. Jacksonville University is partnered with Sodexo in order to continuously make the student body happier with their eating experience. We not only have Sodexo on campus, but we also have Chick-fil-A on campus, Einstein Bagel, not to mention the staff at Waves makes an amazing sandwich at your request during those late night study sessions.

Greek life is awesome here. I am not apart of Greek life but I do know many people that are in Greek life and they seem to enjoy it very well. Everyone I know is very nice and many of them do not treat you like an outsider for not being in Greek life. I do live in an apartment with a sorority and they are some of the nicest people I've met.
