There being 11 fraternities and 2 sororities on campus, the party scene is pretty good. There are also many school-sponsored events that you can go to such as intramural sports, clubs, and the student government. Some club include fencing, dance, improv, games club and many others. There are also the SAE teams as well, including Baja, snowmobile and Formula. If you aren't having fun, you are trying not to.

There is not many things to do around here. Without a car its going to be difficult to go around as well. Very little public transport available. However some or the other activities keep on going on the campus. That might pass your time. You might rent a car and go to nearby city like grand blanc, detroit, ann arbor etc.

UM what can I say. Fraternities are the main source of fun if you are a social creature like myself. But if you're are a little more reserved and nerdy (Like most of the school), there are sooo many clubs you can become involved with. During the warm months, students are usually chilling by the bulldog or walking around campus. Student government actually does a really good job at hosting events, and there always seems to be a lot of free food :)

Flint is not the ideal place to have a school but the area around campus the pretty safe, and as long as you're smart about what you do you should be fine. That doesn't mean you should go walk around at 2 in the morning. We have a multitude of clubs and activities for students along with a pretty active Greek life community. We don't have any sports teams but we do have intramural sports that get competitive. Downtown Flint has been making great strides and there are many restaurants down town. The Flint institute of Art offers student priced tickets to concerts and other actives. We're close enough to Ann Arbor and Lansing that it's pretty easy to go visit those campuses for a weekend, and the mall isn't too far away. You can always find someone to go do something with and we're never short on having fun.

Greek life makes up the majority of the fun events. If you can, it is not too dificult to organize official events (such as videogame tournaments, sports events, etc.) as long as you can people to paticipate. Often, you are better off hanging out with your friends then finding events for fun.

Unfortunately being in Flint, there is virtually nothing to do. Don't come here looking for a college town, I also learned that the hard way.

Spend time with friends and go to fraternities, sororities, or the mall or movies. It is a little bit more difficult in Flint, because, well, it's Flint. Just be careful.
