If accepted, do the overnight stay. It really helps you get a feel of the school before enrolling and is what made me decide to go to Loyola.

If you are not religious and feel intimidated by Loyola being "Jesuit Catholic" do not worry. Catholicism/Christianity does not have an overpowering presence on campus. There are, however, an abundance of outlets to express your faith--any faith, or no faith--and are many groups that can make you feel welcome. You will not be just a number here. Class sizes are pretty small and the professors really care about you. You will even get an adviser for the first two years who will help you through anything and everything that comes your way during college. You will not be thrown in the deep end at Loyola. My advice is to make connections with your professors, advisers, and fellow classmates to become part of Loyola's unique community.

Be involved in and out of the classroom. It's important to create relationships with your professors and also to stay social through student organizations, Greek Life, or becoming friends with your neighbors or people in your same major. Definitely study hard and have fun!

Definitely don't buy your textbooks at the bookstore. Buy from upperclassmen, online stores, or used bookstores. Your wallet and bank account will thank you later!
