As the only public college in New York’s Adirondack Park region, North Country Community College is a 2-year institution and part of the State University of New York system. Among North Country’s 20 degree-granting fields of study, the college’s Wilderness Recreation Leadership program utilizes the surrounding Adirondacks for fieldwork in numerous courses. For students who wish to live on the main Saranac Lake campus, the community college provides residence halls with 4-person suite-style rooms.
I believe when it comes to college, that the amount of time, care, and compassion put into the classes by the teachers here is what makes me believe in this school. You can really tell that they care about the students no matter which way they prefer to learn, and that can be hard to find now-a-days. If I were to rate this school out of 10(best), I'd put it at a solid 9.0 at least; this probably explains the fact that it is known as the best community college in New York.

I am a freshman at North Country Community College and I absolutely love it here. Everyone makes you feel at home and are so friendly and helpful. I am living in the dorms and they are so nice. Apartment style dorms are a must! You get a lot of privacy and a great place to stay. North Country is an all around well rounded school and is great for people of all ages. I recommend this school to anyone and everyone, you wont be disappointed.
