My tips for prospective students are when going to class, arrive early as parking tends to fill out fast, attend tutoring for your hard subjects and to ask questions to your teachers on things you did not understand in his or her class. When it comes to talking to your advisor, plan on doing it as early as possible because your advisor will let you be able to register for classes and when it comes to registering for classes, classes fill out fast. Also, your advisor is there to help you finish your degree on time so meet with your advisor to help you stay on course. When class is not in session, join a club, check out the rec center for the activities they offer, go to the Cypress campus center for any events (usually they give out free stuff like shirts) and always check your email for giveaways and even special guests who go on campus to give a special presentation usually on a certain topic.

Get ready to change your studying habits. It is recommended to buy textbooks as soon as possible and to use them. Some classes will not require books and others will require several.

Use www.ratemyprofessor.com to your advantage, it is very helpful. Pay tuition on time. Get a map of the campus. If you're a new student, get a map and the week before classes start, go to campus and find the buildings your classes are in. It makes the first week easier.

If you want to see an advisor, use the online tool to get in line EARLY, or you will have a really long wait...I'm talking HOURS.

attend college here get your core classes done because in the bigger universities the classes are larger and harder to learn from because of the environment.
