Try to see if your interests fall into one of SUNY's majors, particularly if you are interested in agriculture, this school is superb. Next, look into what classes you would be taken as you pursued your degree. Personally, academics is the most important factor for me, so I go through class by class and compare it to programs at other schools. Finally, tour the compass if you can, and venture around town to get a feel of what living there may be like.
