There really is a good amount to do around campus, you just have to look for it. There are chapels several times a week, though everyone gets a little tired of those eventually. But there are dozens of student run events, shows, concerts, and so on all throughout the semester. Additionally, Lakeland has a nice selection of restaurants within a 20 minute drive, as well as a modest mall and pleasant outdoor shopping center. Movie theaters, bowling alleys, and beautiful parks are also popular among students. And of course, Disney World, Universal, Bush Gardens, and other theme parks are no more than an hour away; you don't have to look far to find a group of students heading out to one of these locations every weekend.

SEU always has events going on throughout the year that are always a great way to build our community! If that does not appeal to you, Disney World/ Universal/ Busch Gardens and the beach are all just a short drive away!

There are many different clubs and activities that one can get involved with. Their are academic clubs and societies that will push one to strive for excellence in your studies, such as Kappa Delta Pi, the International Honors Society for Education Majors. There are also clubs such as Speak That, which is for those who love poetry and spoken word. There is also a Humans Vs. Zombies club. Furthermore, there are many things to do off campus, such as volunteering at different places, going to a drive-in movie theater, or a park. There are many things to do in downtown Lakeland, and Disney and other fun places like that, are a short drive away.

There is a pool on campus and a gym available to all students. There are lots of kids who hang out under the shade oaks or in the school coffee shop that is open 24 hours. There are Friday night bashes during football season. Many different sports games are going on all year.

There are so many different options for every student attending Southeastern University. A fitness center, aquatic center, full-sized volleyball court, and many different areas to sit and relax. Southeastern pretty much has everything you can think of. If you want to join clubs and activities, participate in sports and the arts, or just take a walk around campus, it's a great community to be a part of. If I was able to and had the opportunity to, I would physically attend SEU in a heartbeat, because it is just that, a community. However, as I mentioned there are many options for many students, so you can still be a part of the SEU community one way or another.

I saw a lot of students playing games and just hanging out. On our way to the school there were ALOT of restaurants and I think I saw a bar or two. I don't know about any clubs, but the area around the school is nice with huge houses and a big lake. I saw people jogging too.
