The selection of classes is amazing -- it is impossible to be disinterested in each and every one. Even in the required courses (generally speaking, there's only one, all the rest are options) you will be able to learn and stay interested consistently. The professors generally want you to do well, and there are many ways students can do that. Every class has something to offer, and you're free to choose.

Syracuse University is a great school for someone looking for school pride, greek life, and excellent academics. The school is very diverse and the campus is beautiful. With that being said, there isn't much to do in Syracuse other than the school itself.

My first semester at SU was an extremely positive experience. Classes were challenging but I was able to jump right into my major right away, so it didn't feel like work. Socially, there seems to be a group for everyone.

As a freshman, I've only been on campus for a month and I can honestly say I find myself calling it home already. Syracuse tries really hard to make you feel welcome and involved early. One thing I really like about the campus is how compact it is, so for someone as directionally challenged as me, it's still not hard at all to find your way around campus.

Syracuse has great classes and you can always test a bunch of classes out if you would like because the majors are very flexible. The environment around campus is always lively and in the spring and summer time there is great weather. If you need any help I am telling you there are so many resources.

Syracuse is a mid size school that offers a small school feel. I love how I can walk through campus and see familiar faces that I know from my dorm or from one of my classes. Yet the school is large enough that you meet new people on the regular.

Syracuse University has a very distinct atmosphere: it is very inviting, yet allows you to feel free in your individuality. Twenty inches of snow is common so snow days are basically non-existent; in order words, don't expect classes to be cancelled during the wintery months of October through March. SU will more than likely have this pull on you that will make you miss it when it is time to vacate for the breaks.
