Boston University is a private, non-profit university categorized as having “very high research activity” by the Carnegie Classification of Institutions of Higher Education. Previously affiliated with the United Methodist Church, BU’s founders, the university is now nonsectarian. Its flagship location remains in Boston, MA, but several satellite campuses have been acquired throughout the world, including in London, Sydney, and Washington, DC.
The university has evolved into a community that lets you choose your future. It's definitely expensive; but coming from a lower-middle class family, it's possible. BU allows you to grow and learn academically and personally, completely at your speed.
