It is a very expensive school but they do offer excellent financial aid. It would be best to apply for scholarships. If you are a grad student try to work on campus as a grad assistant to take off some of your tuition.

The University of Detroit Mercy offers a great education but has a high tuition, for full time and part time students. However, they offer students generous scholarships that make it more affordable for these students. A chart with some of the scholarships offered to new students can be found on the universities website. I believe that the small classes and experienced teachers make UDM a better expereince for the price, and students are rewarded for their grades in high school along with their ACT scores with higher scholarships for their college career. You are also getting a smaller class size compared to a large university so the ratio of student to professor is lower at UDM.

For the price you pay for your education, UDM is a great school to receive it. The professors are great people to get to know and become friends with. Some of the professors that teach at UDM are some of the smartest people I know. One professor has been at UDM for 60 years and he is a great professor. If you have had Father Albright, then you will do well in any other class you have taken with him. Student who attend UDM become diverse and well-rounded students. Oh, cannot forget that the university just built a new fitness center that is pretty nice and amazing.
