The University of Memphis is a good school. I would recommend it to the ones who actually love the city of Memphis. Memphis is a small city but the University has a huge campus and great people.

-Don't overlook Memphis! I think the school is overlooked because of the city, but I highly recommend considering Memphis. You're not paying as much as you would for many out-of-state colleges, and you're still getting a good education. I have never really felt unsafe on campus, but some of the area surrounding the school is a bit fishy. Just don't go out at night and use your basic instincts and you should be fine. -Apply for tons of scholarships! That sounds like common sense, but the U of M has several great scholarship programs available. I applied for a scholarship on the whim for Memphis, and it ended up being one of the main reasons I selected the U of M. Definitely apply for as many as you can, because you never know what you will receive.
