The Academy of Art University is a for-profit college of art and design in San Francisco and the largest private school dedicated to training artists in the United States. The Academy of Art University confers bachelor’s and associate degrees in 22 artistic fields of study and degrees in 21 subjects are available online. In addition to classroom offerings, it features over 70 student art shows and gallery exhibitions in the surrounding San Francisco community every year. For students who want to pursue both athletic and artistic interests, it fields 14 sports teams competing in NCAA Division II.
