Manhattan School of Music is a music conservatory based in the Upper West Side of New York City offering degrees in musical theatre, jazz, and classical music. Students study with recording artists, opera companies, jazz musicians, and professional orchestra members, sometimes through the MSM Distance Learning program, which uses “state-of-the-art interactive videoconferencing technology.” MSM holds over 700 student performances per year on campus or at the Jazz at Lincoln Center.
