Am learning a lot
This school absolutely pushes you to your limits and beyond, but not in an entirely over-stressed manner. Students here have teachers who are both mentors and friends. The professors here make sure that students learn all the material that is needed to be learned. The books in the library offer more opportunities to learn and delve into intellectual pursuits outside of the classroom. With engaging classes, students learn from the professors, other students, and even themselves. Internships and opportunities for research, volunteering, community service, and more allow for an even greater spectrum of knowledge and wisdom and experience.
Am enjoying being here
The students here are very friendly and receptive to others. Most of the students here are of the same general socio-economic level, though. The culture club fosters relationships with those who are different from you and allows you to make new friends. The campus is the perfect size for making and keeping good friends. The shops and parks and sites around the campus and in the city make relaxing escapes possible in an affordable manner.
Bang for the buck
The school is a bit pricey: $31, 250 per year, minus room and board. The bang for the buck though, is there. The learning is amazing and wide, the opportunities are endless, and the teachers and students are engaging, intelligent, personable individuals. Financial aid and scholarhsips and student loans are varied and many, though.
The food in the Blue-and-Gray Cafe (Moravian's small cafe) doesn't have the best food, but the larger cafeteria does. There are many clubs and activities and sports to join. If you want, you could start your own club if Moravian doesn't have what you want.
Tips for prospective students
Make sure you have a good, solid GPA and SAT scores: you can get alot of financial aid from these high scores. Being in the top 5% of your class and having around a 2100 or so on your SAT's can get you a full scholarship. Being in the top 25% of your class and having at least an 1850 on your SAT'S can get you a scholarhsip that pays for at least half of your tuition.
Great for these types of students
Hard-working
Competitive, but not cut-throat competitive
Intelligent
Being willing to be pushed intellectually, socially, philosophically, and physically if you're into sports.
Open to new ideas
Engaging
Enjoy small classes

I believe Moravian College is a wonderful place to expand on my knowledge and receive an education. The atmosphere is welcoming and the you will have no problem finding someone who really cares. I am glad I chose to come here, because I believe I can receive a great opportunity to become successful.
Tips for prospective students
I would tell prospective students to stop stressing out. I was so afraid of coming to college. I did not know how I was going to do in my classes, and most importantly how I would completely pay off all of my costs, but the staff and faculty helped me all the way. My main tip is to make sure you keep in contact with your professors and advisors because they have helped me a lot since I have been attending Moravian College. Another tip is to make sure you get involved. Join clubs, sports, and as many organizations that interest you, and attend the events that go on around campus. Faculty loves to see their students participating, and you get rewarded for it at the end of the year.
Academic Rigor
I believe the academic rigor, here, is top notch. I feel challenged in all of my classes, but I understand what I am being taught. Also my quizzes and exams show how well I have been understanding material. I feel like education is one of the most important aspects to Moravian College; teachers and students.
Dorm Life
The dorm life is very satisfying. The rooms are cozy, yet spacious. I feel that there is enough space for you to keep your personal life content. My dorm, specifically Jo Smith, is wonderful. I love having air conditioning and heat. I also enjoy the all girls factor of it as well.
Food and Dining
The food here is pretty good. There are four main cafes you can dine at, two on north campus and two on south campus. My favorite places are the Blue and Grey Cafe, on north campus, and Sandela's, on south campus. Both places have a little market inside, which is pretty cool. The Blue and Grey Cafe is where you will find a wide variety of pizza, The Grill, The Deli, and the Starbucks. Sandela's is where you would find the healthy but delicious meals that involve pizza, wraps, pan-inis, and more. The other two cafes are your usual dining halls. They tend to serve a lot of comfort foods. I love it.
What to do for fun
There are so many activities that are held on campus. Every week they show a movie, recently out of theaters, from Wednesday to Saturday, so your schedule will allow you to make it to at least one viewing. There are also shopping trips held every Friday, and the four venues rotate every week. Also many clubs hold activities on campus throughout the week. Lastly, the quality of just having your friends to hang out with is the greatest.
Bang for the buck
I definitely believe that Moravian College is a bang for the buck. I can see myself enjoying my college career here, and I would not trade it in for another. I believe the education, environment, and achievement is well acquired.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus
I am not too sure about traditions, but an unusual location would have to the president's house. I find it rather weird that the president lives so close to the students. Literally, his house is right next to one of the residential dorms on campus. I actually think it is kind of cool, because it shows that the president cares about the connection between the college, and the students.
Great for these types of students
Moravian College is great for athletes, musicians, future nurses, people that can easily get along with others, and people that keep to themselves. The great thing about Moravian is that you feel welcomed no matter what. One important note is that you have to be serious and dedicated about your work.
Clubs and Activities
There are so many clubs you can join, and activities you can participate in. I am a freshman and I joined the step club and BSU. I have been a part of so many activities because of those clubs, and just because of my friends and me getting out there. The second week of college, they have a huge organization fair where you can join an endless amount of clubs. They also reward you with a prize, which is a pro. One thing I am always told is to get involved starting from freshman year, because you will regret it if you do not.
Greek Life
I am not too sure abut the Greek Life at Moravian, because I am a freshman, but you can definitely tell the sisterhood and brotherhood of the greek life. On the weekends they have mixers where a fraternity, and its sister sorority, have a get together and they just hang out and keep the greek life alive. You also see them a lot during homecoming, because sorority and fraternity, as well as clubs, build their own float.
Campus Safety
I give Campus Safety a big thumbs up. They have such a welcoming personality, I have easily gotten to know my campus safety. They make sure they introduce themselves, and if they ever pass by you, they always make sure they greet you. It also seems like they are always working, especially on the weekends. They keep the campus safe and secure for the students.

Moravian is a quaint school in the small city of Bethlehem. It is very quiet on campus despite its location and it is aesthetically pleasing. The professors are extremely nice and the class sizes are usually between 15-30 students.
Tips for prospective students
Definitely check out the shops and restaurants on Main street! There's a lot of things to do if you check around. There are tons of clubs and organizations to choose from and a lot of events on campus and downtown are free for students. Also, every student should definitely go to a concert on South Campus. The Music department is excellent!
Academic Rigor
I am a freshman right now so I am getting my gen eds out of the way. Honestly, if you study and keep on top of your work it isn't too hard. That's the main thing though. The transition from high school to college can be difficult so keep in mind that you are responsible for studying. You won't get worksheets and note packets like in high school. You need to do those types of things for yourself. If you do that you'll be fine.
Dorm Life
I'm a commuter but I have a bunch of friends on campus so I sort of know what it is like to live on campus. Honestly, it depends. Most of the dorms are really old besides the HILL. I know that housing gets better once you become an upperclassman.
Food and Dining
The food on campus is really good but it can be a bit pricey. I haven't gotten sick of the food since I don't eat it every day because of being a commuter and all but I know my friends who live on campus have gotten bored with the selection.
What to do for fun
There's tons of clubs and organizations to choose from. I go to concerts on South campus and events in the Historic district for fun. The Celtic Festival was incredible! There's a lot of restaurants and little shops on Main street that are fun to go to as well.
Bang for the buck
I'd say it's worth the money since I really like it here. If you want a large campus and city life Moravian isn't for you. But if you want a small college where everyone basically knows who you are and to not be treated like a number in the classroom Moravian is perfect for you!
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus
The mile walk from North campus to South Campus on the last day of Freshman orientation. There are also a couple of supposedly haunted buildings on campus.
Great for these types of students
Pretty much anyone really.
Clubs and Activities
There's tons of things to do from service organizations to horse back riding. Sure there isn't a stable on campus but you get to go to a nearby one to take riding lessons and compete. Soccer, baseball, field hockey, basketball, and lacrosse are a big deal here. Also, the organization Impact schedules a lot of trips to New York City, Philadelphia, etc. throughout the year.
Greek Life
There's a bunch of sororities and fraternities. I want to join Gamma Sig next year. It is a service sorority.
Campus Safety
Campus safety is excellent and the cops are really nice and helpful.

A small, tight-knit community where every feels welcome. The campus is friendly, the food is good, the people are better.
Tips for prospective students
Work on your writing! Moravian loves writing and values communication skills.
Academic Rigor
Some courses are easy, in that the topics covered are familiar. However, there are a vast number of challenging courses that require a clever mind.
Dorm Life
Depending on your dorm, you will love it or hate it. Some dorms have air conditioning, other buildings do not.
Food and Dining
The cafeteria has a variety of food options, though it will remind you of your High School lunch. There are several caf©s on campus that are great for picking up something on the go.
What to do for fun
Bingo! Most Fridays, there is Bingo held in the student building. Students can walk away with IPads, tablets and even coffee makers!
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus
Main Street in Bethlehem has tons of shops and restaurants that are not pricy. Also, many local festivals are held within ten miles of campus.
Great for these types of students
Students who want to stay close to home, at a small school. Those who want to work hard, meet new people that live close by, and those who want to travel.
Campus Safety
Campus Safety are real police officers who can make arrests if need be. We have the blue light system that makes emergency calls when activated. I always feel safe, even walking to the parking lot at night.

Moravian is an amazing college that offers many opportunities to its students. Everyone is nice and the professors want you to succeed. I am happy that I made the decision to attend college at this wonderful school.
Academic Rigor
There are a variety of classes that vary in difficulty level. The beginner courses are usually straight forward and not extremely difficult. As you progress through your college experience, the classes become more challenging.
Dorm Life
I currently live on South Campus and it is awesome!!! Everyone is nice and it is like living at home. We are all friends and it is just a comfortable environment to live in.
Food and Dining
At first the food is good, but it starts to be repetitve after a while. More options would be nice, but there are appliances to cook your own food in the dorm.
What to do for fun
Moravian is in the middle of the Historic district of Bethelhem, so there are many areas to explore. Bus trips are offered by the college to go to the mall or other areas. The on campus group IMPACT sponsers a lot of fun events.

moravian is a small school, that is very good in producing well-rounded students. it is very easy to get involved in the school, and to build up your resume. it is also very easy to build relationships with faculty and staff, which is a plus when it comes to resumes and if you ever need recommendations.
Tips for prospective students
make sure you like a small school.
get involved in extracurriculars.
work hard in classes, and get help when you need it.
Academic Rigor
classes vary in difficulty depending on major and teacher, but you can not slack off in any class because you will fall behind.
Dorm Life
your dorm-mates are your family, everyone becomes very tight knit. you will make a lot of life long friends, and there are always new people on the floor so you will have a chance to meet many others you may not see in classes.
Food and Dining
blue and grey is great, however you don't get much for one swipe so you almost always end up double swiping. the cafeteria is always changing, but sometimes the food gets dried out or is just tasteless by the time you eat. other than that it is great theres always something to try.
What to do for fun
there are intramural teams that you can play on as long as you have a team together. you can join a club team, a club, or start your own. you can play pick up games in the arc. there are also things to do in very close proximity to the school like eating or drinking at roosevelt's or getting ice cream at the cup. you can walk into town to shop or get a bite to eat. there is also a club on main street. moravian also has buses that run on fridays to the lehigh valley mall or the promenade shops that are possible because of impact, they also do concerts and comedy shows for the school and public to attend. oh yeah and we like to party on saturday nights.
Bang for the buck
even though moravian is expensive, it is also a private school so you are paying for a better education. moco will make you a well rounded student and you pay for ways to better the school. you also don't have to pay for things like sporting events, or gym memberships like at most state schools.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus
we have a couple of buildings on campus that are haunted, yes students still live in these buildings.
Great for these types of students
people who want to go to school for their education first, sports second. artistic kids. nursing majors.
Clubs and Activities
so many to join, most of which give back to the community some way or another. other clubs are geared toward your majors and interests. and of course we have our athletics.
Greek Life
we do have greek life on campus
Campus Safety
campus safety is always around, however sometimes they will purposely try to get us in trouble for anything and it is kind of annoying.

Am learning a lot
Classes are challenging enough to keep you on your toes, and interesting enough to leave you wanting more.
Am enjoying being here
The people here are so friendly, the campus is gorgeous, and the classes are great. I still feel as if i'm on vacation in a colonial town.
Bang for the buck
Bernie-Willie freshman dorm leave something to be desired. tiny and really hot through most of september. Other than that, the school really tries to keep up with the desires of the students.
Tips for prospective students
Bring a window fan if you're in bernie-willie, the rooms are stuffy and not air-conditioned. Eat down on south campus as much as you can. the food up north gets boring really quickly, but good food is just a shuttle ride away.

Also, everyone is really nice here. You can go up to a random person and start a conversation. Make friends!
Great for these types of students
Smart people with slight quirks fit in really well here, especially those who appreciate history. There's a huge variety of people here, anyone can find their place.

Am learning a lot
Moravian College pushes students to learn as much as possible in the short time they attend the school. It is not a place for underachievers. Students are encouraged to participate in extracurricular activities on top of challenging classes; it makes for a vigorous schedule that requires organization and an extreme thirst for learning and involvement.
Am enjoying being here
Because I am a very involved student, my schedule can be very stressful at times. However, my teachers and fellow students are always more than willing to help out, and they are very understanding of my course work load. My experience at Moravian so far has been a good one that's been full of opportunities for me.
Bang for the buck
Moravian is what you make of it, so get involved in extracurriculars and do as much as you can with your time there. The cost is a little steep, but Moravian's financial aid department is very good with helping out and offering grants to students in need.
Tips for prospective students
Be organized, be prepared to learn, and get involved! Don't let a heavy schedule intimidate you.
Great for these types of students
Moravian is perfect for students who are eager to learn, organized, and who love to be involved.
