English Composition

The written word is a powerful thing. Ever heard of the power of the pen? Writing comes in many different forms and it's used for a number of purposes. If writing appeals to you, consider becoming an English composition major. Are you able to read a novel and write an opinion piece with evidence to back up your opinion? Or can you write a grant proposal that will knock the socks off of the selection committee? As an English composition major, you will have the opportunity to learn how to write for a variety of audiences for many different purposes.
