There's a lot you can do. If you'll be doing WOW, your WOW leader will definitely tell you about all of them (and make you do a lot of them)

Go to the new, state-of-the-art gym, kayak, lots of hiking, have some fun downtown, lots of places to hang out and have fun with friends. Pismo/Avila beaches are nearby with a car. You've got plenty of options.

Cal Poly resides smack in the middle of San Francisco and Los Angeles, so it is very convenient to make trips to both Norcal and Socal. There are ten beaches all ten to fifteen minutes away from campus, there are a lot of hiking trails all around campus, and the weather that is always above seventy degrees make students exploring nature and even studying outside out on Dexter Lawn.

For fun, I hang out with friends in their or my dorm. There are many hiking trails right next to the campus which you can hike, run, or mountain bike. These trails can last for a few miles or more then 13 miles. Also, there are many mountains around SLO that are easy, yet beautiful to hike. Downtown can be fun to go to, especially during the Farmers Market. You can see many people you know down there and also pick up some fresh produce. Also, you can see the what the small businesses of SLO have to offer, catch a movie, get some coffee (or tea) and eat some great food. If you (or a friend) have a car, you can head out to one of the many beaches or hiking trails nearby. There are endless possibilities to do around SLO. Lastly, join a club you are interested in. It will give you many opportunities to do what you love in SLO.

THERE IS SO MUCH TO DO!! There's really something for everyone. Probably the most popular things to do are line dancing at the Graduate or hiking Bishops peak and if you chose to drink or not there are options for both people. The rec center is also one of the best in the nation.

Thursday night is the San Luis Obispo farmers market. They shut down and entire street and fill it up with local fruits and vegetables and have everything from kettle corn to freshly made tri-tip sandwiches from Firestone Grill. There are so many hiking trails as well, Bishop's Peak is by far my favorite. The beach is also a short 15 minute drive away and they do offer skydiving packages for thrill seekers. If you have ever seen Whose Line is it Anyways, Cal Poly has an improve group (Smile and Nod) who preforms once a month and they are absolutely hilarious.
