    Campus Safety

The school is downtown in a very populated area and the dorms are on capital hear where some of the best night life is. The city is changing and we do have some crime problems. However if you pay attention to not being alone too late after dark without your friends, for the most part the city is pretty safe. The people that do have the most problems are college students that don't lock windows, doors or leave valuable in their cars and elderly people that do the same.

    Greek Life

I haven't had a chance to notice any frat life I don't live in the dorms. They do have some very good professional organizations to consider though.

    Clubs and Activities

There are so many clubs I haven't joined any because I can't make up my mind. Lol

Great for these types of students

International students, older returning students, master or MBA students.

Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus

University of Washington is central to Seattle and any college student can walk into the main library to study which is one of the largest in the state for research especially engineering and medicine. You will hear students talking about quantum physics on the bus on the way home. Go to Goldie's on 45th or Dicks for great hamburgers or a night out with the crew. You can get a great meal a dicks for 7.00$. They also hire a lot of students and have a tuition reimbursement program.

    Bang for the buck

The school I attend is near the Seattle Center. It's the site of the 1962 Worlds fair. A beautiful facility that is also a really good source of employment for college students in the summer season.

    What to do for fun

Seattle is a beautiful place. People do sports year round. Sailing, swimming, diving, running, cross country hiking, rock climbing, skiing snow or water, snow boarding started early this year about an hour outside of Seattle. Live music, casinos, art, theater any thing you want we have.

    Food and Dining

If you are a starving student and you live in the dorms the price includes two meals a day.

    Dorm Life

I don't live in the dorms but they built them in one of my old schools up on capital hill. When I looked on the web site, I would say they are comparable to many of the small condo and apartment units in the area.

    Academic Rigor

I didn't think it possible but I have managed to make honors society. I had trouble finding a tutor for my classes. They offer the service at the school but the service isn't very good. My respects to my math teacher however who managed to pass his students even though many of us hadn't been in school for upwards of 20 years.

    Tips for prospective students

Choose your major and really focus on what you want. Be sure to do a lot of research before making that decision. Taking courses outside of a program are costly and can add years to your graduation.

    In three sentences

The school is very supportive of their students and really help with choosing classes, and financial aid. They encourage their students to put all of their energies into one specific course of study to assure that their students are attaining a degree in an area they will be happy in and continue to study in for years to come as Masters Students.

    Campus Safety

The campus is very well kept, in a nice part of town, and very safe.

    Greek Life

None, this is not a traditional school.

    Clubs and Activities

    None.

Great for these types of students

Students who work and for international students.

Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus

    None.

    Bang for the buck

You definitely get what you put in.

    What to do for fun

This is a limited campus. It is setup for pretty much just classes for working people.

    Food and Dining

The only thing close to this is a large break room type of a setting. It doesn't have services, but it is comfortable, well kept, and a nice area overall.

    Dorm Life

    There aren't any dorms.

    Academic Rigor

The grading structure is very fair. If you show up and try, you will do just fine in class. I wasn't a very good student, but if I actually put forth the effort, the classes aren't that bad.

    Tips for prospective students

When picking classes, the online system can be a little confusing. Using the academic advisers can be really helpful.

    In three sentences

City University is definitely a school set up for students who work and are trying to better themselves. This school has a lot of options and is very flexible to student's needs.

    Campus Safety

Campus it's really safe, it well illuminated and also there are people checking every couple of hours to see if everything is ok.

    What to do for fun

There are a lot of places where to go to, inside the dorms you'll find one floor available for working on groups or get together and see movies, on the outside there is downtown, many stores to shop, many parks and green spaces to relax and of course a lot of Starbucks.

    Food and Dining

Even though its a little far from the dorms, they always offer different food in order to satisfy every requirement, also people treat you very well.

    Dorm Life

The dorms are really cool, are spacious and clean, once a week they clean inside each room, bathrooms are always perfect and offers many places to work on your homework.

    Academic Rigor

Its a little heavy the work load, but as long as you keep doing them on the right time you can make it, besides teachers let you advance at class or even make group discussions with them.

    Tips for prospective students

To organize very well, in order to keep track of classes and homework, its a lot of work but they can pull it off by doing the work whenever teachers require it.

    In three sentences

CityU it's a great university, it has very prepared teachers, with professional skills that help students to understand better the real and working life, the infrastructure satisfies the necessity of students and the help service its always there for you.

Great for these types of students

Full-time employees who already have a position established and are looking to move up, but within a firm who already knows your capabilities. Talk to bosses about the program first! Great for the student who's office will pay for it!

    Bang for the buck

When I was researching schools, I was rushed and stupid. Instead of doing the full research I should have done, I merely did the online chat with one of the schools advisers and asked if the business program was accredited. I did not double check. It is not, and now that I am two quarters in, I am discovering this. The education is poor with a low level of participation from the professors. The technology is horrible and not even the professors fully understand the approach to the online site. Email is only available if you log in to their website, you cannot check it with your own software (ie Outlook) and it is unable to be forwarded to other email addresses, yet they require that you use it. I am currently in the process of transferring to WSU's online MBA program. However, because City U's program is not accredited, my credits will not transfer. I am starting over. It is fully worth this for a good education that I can be proud of. WSU costs less, and is accredited. They provide lectures and presentations, are responsive, and have a wonderful reputation. My advise- truly think about what you're paying for. This place is not saving you any money.

    Food and Dining

    No applicable

    Dorm Life

I do not think this is applicable.

    Academic Rigor

The best thing about the online program is the discussion forums with other students. The professors are inactive and lazy. You will not receive a lecture or presentation of any kind, just a text and directions to discuss with other students or answer questions.

    Tips for prospective students

Keep looking- you can do better.

    In three sentences

This school is fine and dandy if you just want to get a certificate/degree and do not care about reputation or education. If you're in it for the piece of paper, by all means go for it. Keep in mind though, that it costs more than other schools, effort is poor, and individual programs are not accredited.

It's too expensive Lack of communication or help about your schedule Books are expensive too

The college is great online. Just tends to have some teachers that are not as open with students who need help. It took them a year to finally start a little communication with me to see about classes were going.
