San Francisco State University is a public research institution and member of the California State University System. The most popular fields of study for undergraduates at SFSU are business administration, biology, and kinesiology. More than half of the student population identifies as either Asian or Hispanic making for a diverse campus. SFSU houses the Institute for Civic and Community Engagement, a place for students to give back to the Bay Area communities.
SFSU is a smaller school, yet there is a lot to do because it is located in the great city, San Francisco. There is so much to explore in the city that you will never be bored, such as festivals, concerts, and different events. Living here you'll have the city and beach near by so its the best of both worlds.

After completing VERY thorough research and outreach to the university I feel its diversity makes it a great school for students of all social and cultural backgrounds. On the other hand, it is located in a major city, so if the city environment isn't for you than this may not be your school. A big city also has many benefits, tons of social connections and great opportunities to obtain a leading edge in the work force upon graduation.
