Of the 2 colleges in Las Vegas, this is definitely the more affordable option. I have taken 3 classes for the same price as taking one at UNLV. Plus CSN does not charge for parking which is huge plus. My recommendation would be to take as many classes as possible towards your major at CSN and then transfer to UNLV, if that's what you want to do. You will get a quality education that won't drain you financially.

School here is cheap if you are a Nevada resident and the professors are just as amazing as University professors. While textbooks are expensive no matter where you go, many classes at CSN do not require a book at all and if they do, it is not as much as some University class textbooks.

There is definitely a bang for your buck. With attending a university one usually pays for the name alone. Attending a college will save at least 80% of overall fees. For example, I took a biology class here and I paid about $223( including the lab fees). That same class for the same amount of time was $487 at a university. Most importantly the classes are much smaller, which equates to a better teaching environment.
