Founded in 1893, Hood College is a private liberal arts institution that opened as a women’s college. Now co-educational, the school maintains a close affiliation with the United Church of Christ. It is located in Frederick, MD, outside of Baltimore and has a selective admissions process. Most students choose to study business administration and management, followed by psychology and communications.

Hood College has some wonderful academic departments and the professors truly wish for your success. The administrators tend to focus on outward appearance and make some decisions that do not make logical sense to students. Also the tuition price is high, but for the quality of the academics and the sense of community, it is worth it.
