Always get to know your teachers. Get to know them and take part in answering questions. I noticed that when I did this and would struggle in a class, they were more enthusiastic about helping me find ways to do better in their class or help me understand something I wasn't getting. Also don't be shy towards your classmates! You'll need them! When you get to know your classmates you can form study groups for tests with them. Oh and also study in the back of the library. It's the most quiet place on the campus.

Don't underestimate the college just because it says community college. It's a really, really great school and many people hold it to high standards. It's also a great way to save money. Get your AA at HCC, then transfer somewhere.
