Most Helpful Review for Lower Columbia College

LCC offers most of the classes required for my transfer, all but one. I am a self-motivated learner and LCC offers math lab courses and self-paced learning options that allow me to work at my own pace, which is very helpful for me. On one hand, I take math a little bit slower just to make sure I'm getting it, and on the other hand I zoom like a racecar through Spanish.

I really liked the campus, it's very small, but at the same time, it has so much here for just a community college. A lot of people in the reviews are very negative, this town isn't so bad if you are trying to get on feet with a small degree first.

Longview has the highest STD and DRUG usage rate per capita in the state. Unless your into drugs or getting STD's, I suggest you go elsewhere.

Altogether disappointing to say the least. Almost everything about this school has been a let down. You'll get a lot of attention before you enroll and after they get your money? You fall through the cracks. Financial aid was anything but helpful, my counselor doesn't even know what position she holds, and some of my teachers were like children in the sense that they called students names, and were childish and petty. LCC was a very poor choice for me but hopefully you make a better choice. LCC sucks. That's a fact, Jack!

The professors make time to make sure you will be successful, they don't give up on you. The staff throughout the campus is very upbeat and extremely helpful, they want to make sure you feel comfortable!

Lower Columbia College is a pretty good school. The Computer Science teachers are friendly and have a lot of knowledge. Sometimes it seems difficult for them to keep focus on a topic, but most of the time the discussions are relevant.

LCC is good for three types of students, those who are undecided on their professions, those who are older and changing their professions and running start students. As a senior in high school I think it is great because I get to take college classes and have a more flexible schedule. I wouldn't recommend it for students who are right out of high school and know what they want to do. .

Lower Columbia College is a small community college but has a very diverse group of students, including people of all ages, all backgrounds, and all personalities. It has a beautiful campus for such a small school and friendly students. The staff is super helpful from you professors to the admissions center where you can walk in and they'll happily walk you through everything from applying, to the fafsa to student loans.

I personally enjoyed Lower Columbia College. The people here are fun and interesting to say the least and there are plenty of clubs to keep you busy. The classes are interesting and challenging and will definitely prepare you for transferring to a four year university.
