From normal school stuff (academics) to abnormal (Powerpoint, Excel, Word tricks) to local (stuff about Tucson) to just plain fun (I took a class called Defensive Tactics for Law Enforcement), I have learned a lot at Pima. It is very easy to find a quite spot to study and read, and there are plenty of computers to do research on if the you need them.

For the tuition, Pima is a fantastic community college. The professors are very engaged, helpful, and generally are pretty good at teaching their subjects. Despite being one of the largest community colleges in the US, there is almost no social life outside of the honors program.

Pima has helped me get into that college mode and made it so i could easily adjust to it at my own pace. The teachers at this college are understanding and very helpful. It is a great place to start at after high school before going to a university.

Pima NEEDS professors who ARE interested and willing to help and support you in EVERY department each student is involved in. Unless you really pucker up and kiss some booties, they are NOT going to be concerned with your well-being NOR care about how far you've come in life just to be sitting in a classroom with them. Pima NEEDS more professors to get involved and more often too.
