Eastern Arizona College is the only community college in the state, as well as the oldest. Founded in 1888 by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, the main EAC campus is located in Thatcher, while there are slo two satellite sites in Gila and Greenlee counties. The main campus at EAC features the Small Business Center, which is made up of a network of small business professionals and offers free counseling to entrepreneurs. Eastern Arizona College also has a partnership with Northern Arizona University called “2NAU,” which provides a pathway to a baccalaureate degree via a joint admission program.
This college is fun and it is so easy to get involved and enjoy life. The teachers are extremely qualified and are always willing to give you a hand. It is easy to get into pretty much any class you want to take, and the classes are small so getting to know your teachers and fellow students is easy.
